Location Scout was developed by Jeff Gilfelt. It is powered by Google App Engine, Google AJAX Search API and Google Maps API. Augmented Reality is powered by the Wikitude API. Location Scout for Android was developed using the Android SDK. Location Scout for iPhone was developed using the Titanium Mobile framework.

By requesting a nearby search within the Location Scout application, you are transmitting your geographic location (latitude and longitude) as determined by your mobile device to the application servers. This information, along with your IP address and timestamp may be recorded strictly for logging purposes only. This information will never be shared with or disclosed to 3rd parties. No personal information is requested or retained.
